Request or correct a record

Send one link. We do the record work.

A record says what was claimed, who asserted it, what evidence exists, and what nobody has checked yet. It does not say whether the mathematics is right, and nothing in it ever will. If that is the thing you need, this is how to ask for it — you do not need to know any of this project's vocabulary to file the request. You may leave the final question blank. Extracting fields, provenance, hashes, and locators is our job.

What happens after you ask

Requests are answered within a few days. That is a promise about the reply, not about the record: the answer may well be that no record will be created, and it will say why. A request that goes nowhere is closed without a public judgement attached to it.

Two routes — public-interest records and author requests

Widely circulating public claims from organisations or major announcements may receive editorial records compiled entirely from public sources. The page says plainly that its authors did not participate unless they did.

Ordinary claims by individual living authors are published through an author request or opt-in. A reader may suggest one; maintainers contact the author privately before publication. If the author declines, no record is filed and no decline list is kept.

One required field, two short context fields

Required — link

A link to where it actually lives — paper, preprint, repository, announcement, post. The most stable one, if it is in several places.

Short — your role

Author, reader, or something else. This changes what happens next rather than how the request is ranked: an author can attest to their own work, and a reader asking about someone else's claim starts the contact step above.

Optional — attention

A correction, a theorem that matters, or a step you want examined. “Not sure” and a blank answer are both valid.
